Ordering a Peace of Mind Paternity Test
We offer discreet DNA collection kits, which are sent to you, entirely free of charge. Each kit contains buccal swabs, reply-paid envelopes as well as simple instructions on how to collect your samples within minutes from the privacy of your own home.
Your local doctor could also take specimens, if you prefer. We can also perform testing on other material such as hair and discrete samples such as a used toothbrush, fingernail clippings, used cotton tips with earwax, bloodstains or a used tissue containing nasal discharge.
Kits are mailed out within 24 hours of your order, and upon receipt of your samples and payment, results are usually ready between 10-15 days.
Note: The more regions of DNA tested, the higher the accuracy. DNA SOLUTIONS is the only lab testing 19 and 23 regions.
Testing 19 regions makes your test up to 300x more accurate than a standard 16 region test.
Testing 23 regions makes your test up to 250,000x more accurate than a 16 region test.

Paternity Testing
DNA Testing Explained
DNA is the genetic “blueprint” containing the biological instructions for the development of a cellular form of life.
DNA is found in every cell of your body, and is wound into compact, threadlike structures called chromosomes, containing genes and other intervening genetic sequences.
All people have 46 chromosomes (i.e., 22 pairs plus 2 sex chromosomes)
- Half of these are inherited from the mother
- Half of these are inherited from your father
A DNA Paternity test is performed through the extraction and isolation of DNA from your cells (collected from your sample), which is then amplified through a procedure called PCR (polymerise chain reaction). This procedure multiplies the DNA enough times that it can be visualised by the human eye to allow for detailed analysis by the laboratory.
The results are obtained through a comparison of the child’s’ DNA profile with that of the alleged father. A matching result (inclusion) will prove biological paternity to an accuracy of over 99.9%, and a mismatching result (exclusion) will disprove paternity with 100% certainty. |
